Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of CD44v6 and the prognosis of colorectal cancer. Methods 156 cases of colorectal cancer paraffin tissue were re-sectioned and CD44v6 murine monoclonal antibody was used for immunohistochemical staining (LSAB method). Results The expression of CD44v6 was not related to age, sex, tumor size, location, and tissue type. The positive expression rate of CD44v6 was higher in Dukes C/D than Dukes A and B. There was no tumor metastasis or recurrence in tumor metastasis and postoperative recurrence. Those with high scores showed that the survival rate of CD44v6-positive patients was lower than that of negative expressions. In Cox survival analysis, CD44v6 did not enter the final regression equation. Conclusion CD44v6 may play a role in the metastasis and recurrence of colorectal cancer, but it can not be used as an independent biological indicator to predict the prognosis of colorectal cancer.
