为了促进灾害科学的综合系统研究,作者依据国内外大量文献记载,初步编列出公元前4241年至公元前3年期间全世界部分灾害年表,涉及到各种自然灾害与某些人文灾害,提供了研究世界灾害变迁的参考资料。表中时间厘定仅用一种,其他说法作为附注。实测年代运用了 C 年代测定法,适当加减了误差年代。我国远古时期的定年史学界历始于周共和元年(公元前841年)。本文为保持统一体例,共和元年之前的时间参考了有关研究成果,仅供参考。在同一年内,中外史料的编列遵循了“先中后外”的顺序。同一年中的几条史料以发生的月日先后为序;仅明年份、不明月日的史料编列于当年最后。两条以上不明月日的史料,编列时不分前后。
