古旧书历来被认为是一个民族文化宝库中的重要知识资源,也是我国古典藏书楼和近现代图书馆所关注的珍品。 2005年6月28日下午,在南京饭店紫金楼会议室里,举办了南京大学信息管理系徐雁教授所著《中国旧书业百年》(科学出版社2005年5月版)的首发座谈会。《中国旧书业百年》是三年前中共中央统战部“华夏英才基金”委员会经严格评审反复遴选以后,决定资助出版的党外专家学术著作。全书分为九个单元,问世后被业内评价为是“我国第一部系统探讨近现代中国古旧书业发展历史和经营业态的原创型学术专著”。《光明日报》书评称该书“为读者展示出百余年来中国旧书业的发展面貌,系统探讨了近现代中国古旧书业发展历史和经营业态,从而高水准地一举填补了中国书业史研究的长期学术空白。”当日,江苏省政协副主席冯健亲、统战部副部长李熙诚等到会祝贺,南京大学资深教授周勋初、卞孝萱、董健等在宁专家学者到场畅谈了“旧书文化与国学精神”这一重要话题,有关言论极具启发意义。
