南高学派与学衡派是两个不同的学术派别,目前研究者基本上将两派人物合二为一,汇于学衡派大旗之下,很大程度上是因为柳诒徵及其追随者在《学衡》杂志中的活跃。柳诒徵不仅撰写了《学衡》弁言,而且是《学衡》杂志撰稿最多之人,且与吴宓一起主导了《学衡》后期事务;在他的影响下,缪凤林、景昌极等南高学派成员也给予《学衡》以很大帮助。此种交叉,说明两派之间存在相当的学术关联;所以,厘清两派之间的学术关联,将有助于进一步认识学衡派和南高学派。
The South High School and Xueheng School are two different academic factions. At present, researchers essentially combine the two factions into one, under the banner of Xueheng School. To a large extent, Liu Yongzheng and his Followers are active in “Xueheng” magazine. Liu Yongzheng not only wrote the lexicon of “Xueheng” but also was the most contributor to “Xueheng” magazine and led the later stage of “Xueheng” together with Wu Li. Under his influence, Miao Fenglin and Jing Chang Pole and other South High School members also give “Xueheng” a great help. This kind of intersection shows that there is a considerable academic connection between the two factions; therefore, clarifying the academic connection between the two factions will help to further understand the Xueheng School and the South High School.
