2月24日下午2:00,北京大学理教117可容上千人的阶梯大教室里座无虚席,连窗台上、过道中很小的空隙也都被人占据了。北大中国经济研究中心的几位教授将在此就最近吴敬琏、厉以宁和董辅礽等经济学家展开的有关中国证券市场的辩论.进行深入地研讨。值得关注的是几位教授共同拥有一种背景:留学美国,拥有西方“经济学博士”学位。
At 2:00 p.m. on February 24, the teaching room at Peking University 117 can accommodate up to a thousand people in large staircase classrooms. Even the small gaps in the aisles have been occupied. Several professors from Peking University’s China Center for Economic Research will take a closer look at the debate on China’s securities market conducted by economists such as Wu Jinglian, Li Yining and Dong Fukui recently. It is noteworthy that several professors have a common background: study in the United States, with the Western “Doctor of Economics” degree.
