中国科学院已审定出第一批有效院士候选人共309人,将从中选出56名新院士;8月底,中国工程院在第一轮评审中,628位院士有效候选人锐减为170位,10位现任省部级以上领导之职的候选人没有进入复审名单。几个月来,社会上对于中国的院士制度的批评一直没有停息:现行的院士制度已经弊端丛生,亟待改革。日前,由中国科技促进发展研究中心委托,中国人民大学顾海兵教授担任课题组组长的《吸取发达国家经验教训,改革并改掉我国的院士制度》的专题报告出台。报告提出一个非常尖锐的命题——在市场经济条件下,设立院士的本意已无法实现,中国的院士制度改革甚至改掉已是势在必行。以下是顾海兵教授与张鲜堂对话的主要内容。
