改革开放以来,桂林市的经济社会发展迅猛,国民经济持续增长,从1980年到2003年,全市GDP由13.76亿元增加到397.46亿元,年均增长近10％,财政收入由9595万元增加到37.04亿元,增加了37倍。2月下旬,桂林市代表随自治区党政代表团前往广东考察学习,所见所闻令人深受触动,跳出桂林看桂林,深感差距大、责任重。桂林,解放思想,加大改革,学习广东见行动,时不我待。
