2007年8月16日,应中国公安部邀请,美国国土安全部海岸警卫队主力执法舰“鲍特韦尔”号在舰长布朗上校率领下,抵达上海高阳路码头,开始对上海为期6天的友好访问。18日记者有幸随同中国公安部边防管理局有关领导参观了该舰。高阳路码头刚修整不久,“鲍特韦尔”号在对岸东方明珠映衬下,静静地停泊在码头边上,湛蓝的天空上流淌着洁白的云朵,云下的“鲍特韦尔”号漂亮而整洁。
On August 16, 2007, at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, the main law enforcement ship of Coast Guard of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under the leadership of Captain Brown, arrived at the pier of Shanghai's Gaoyang Road and started to operate Shanghai 6 day friendly visit.
