昆明市是云南省省会,位于云南省中部。历史悠久,风光秀丽,气候宜人,资源丰富,具有广阔的发展前景。全市辖4区8县,总面积15561平方公里,总人口351万,其中非农业人口137万。1984年被确定为综合改革试点城市。昆明市是祖国的西南大门,交通便利,成昆铁路、贵昆铁路可通达北京、上海、成都、重庆、广州等地,昆河铁路(米轨)可抵越南,南宁至昆明的南昆铁路已计划兴建。公路四通八达,有6条公路干线辐射全省各地。空运便捷,昆明巫家坝机场已成为重要的国际机场,现有国内航线25条,国际和地区航线3条。市内拥有现代化的通讯设备。
Kunming is the capital of Yunnan Province and is located in the middle of Yunnan Province. The city administer 4 districts and 8 counties, with a total area of 15561 square kilometers, with a total population of 3510000, of which 1.37 million non-agricultural population. 1984 was identified as a comprehensive reform pilot cities. The Chengdu-Kunming Railway and the Kunming-Kunming Railway are accessible to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing and Guangzhou. Convenient air transport, Kunming Wujiaba Airport has become an important international airport, the existing domestic routes 25, three international and regional routes.
