京杭大运河江苏镇江段“四改三”工程全长42.571公里,将于年底竣工。改造前的河岸护坡都是斜坡式的预制块护坡,不仅安全系数低,也不利于大型船舶通过。这次将改造成直立式护坡,不但有效地加大深水区的宽度,90米宽的水面取代了以往70米宽的水面。在部分河段的二级护岸采用生态混凝土砌块挡墙,并在墙上播种三叶草等草种,形成一道绿色挡墙,既防洪、又防水土流失,具有生态景观效果;同时这种护岸挡墙上有许多人造孔洞,可以消减船舶经过后形成的反射波浪,有助于船舶安全航行。
