盘根是锻造生产中蒸汽锤上的一个零件,起着防止汽缸下部蒸汽漏出的作用。它的性能的优劣和寿命的高低,对正常生产与维修工作量有着相当密切的关系。原用的高压石棉盘根(用石棉布以橡胶粘合并嵌有胶条浸以甘油制成)虽较最早期使用的石棉绳制成的石墨油浸盘根好了许多,但由于盘根断面为方形和其系统的本身结构有问题,所以依旧存在密封性能不良,且寿命也低。后来我厂机动部门与吉林省石棉厂合作试制出V形盘根。它是用胶、石棉铜丝,并浸以汽缸油制成。这种V形断面的盘根,在汽缸中蒸汽压力作用下,具有自动密封性能。经常期应用考察,证实效果很好:1.
