人们很早就发现微量元素硒在生命和人类健康中的作用。硒以硒代半胱氨酸(Sec)形式掺入到硒蛋白中,并以硒蛋白的形式发挥作用。GPx-4是硒蛋白谷胱甘肽氧化还原酶(GPx)家族的一员,其能直接减少脂质过氧化物。近年来研究使我们了解GPx-4在精子形成、精子功能和胚胎发育过程中有着重要作用。而GPx-4基因剔除引起小鼠胚胎致死,GPx-4水平下降与人类不育症和其他许多地方性疾病都相关。本文旨在综述GPx-4的生物学功能和基因多态性方面的研究进展。
It has long been discovered that the role of trace elemental selenium in life and human health. Selenium is incorporated into the selenoprotein in the form of selenocysteine (Sec) and functions as a selenoprotein. GPx-4 is a member of the selenoprotein glutathione oxidoreductase (GPx) family that directly reduces lipid peroxides. Recent studies have led us to understand that GPx-4 plays an important role in spermatogenesis, sperm function and embryonic development. The knockout of GPx-4 gene resulted in embryonic lethality in mice. The decrease of GPx-4 level was associated with human infertility and many other endemic diseases. This article aims to review the research advances in the biological function and gene polymorphism of GPx-4.
