Three series of associate professor Wei Rongnian and assistant professor Zhang Biao successfully developed a research on energy-saving and pollution-limiting equipment - diesel combustion flame instantaneous temperature measuring device on June 13, 1987 in our hospital through ministerial level appraisal. The result of this research has filled a gap in our country and the first time in China has realized the measurement of the instantaneous temperature of the combustion flame of diesel engines. So far, our country has become one of the few countries in the world that has such measuring devices. The instantaneous temperature of a diesel combustion flame is a key parameter for studying the thermal efficiency of diesel engines and the formation mechanism of harmful gases in the combustion products.
