百货零售业是国有商业的前沿阵地,它的地位和作用任何时候都不能动摇.但当前外资、外商不断进人,使本来已经很激烈的竞争会更加残酷,市场购买力必然会有一部分被抢走;多种商业业态迅猛发展,使大型商场陷于四面夹击之中;各行各业、多种经济成分向市场挤入,对百货零售业形成了巨大的冲击波;消费结构和购买力投向的变化,使经营本来就很难的大商场“雪上加霜”.面对以上严峻形势,中国百货商业协会组织全国20多家大型百货商场的老总.专家及学者进行了专题研讨,与会者重点研究了对应措施:
