Dear Xiao Mei:In your last letter,you asked me about Y2K.I am sure by now you must have heard about theYear 2000 issue.It refers to the possible failure of computers because of their inability to recognizethe calendar change to the Year 2000.So,it is a computer programming glitch that has the potentialto affect computer systems worldwide on January 1,2000,known as Y2K(Y=Year,K=thousand)herein the United States.
