2013年9—11月,笔者去加拿大约克大学法学院访学,想了解加拿大劳工法的历史,并收集劳工史的资料。行前发现一篇自己很有同感的论文的作者在这所大学政治系,见了面才知道该作者斯蒂芬妮·罗斯教授还是该校“全球劳工研究中心”(Global Labour Research Centre)主任。我们先后聊了三次,从她的那篇论文①开始,谈到当代劳工运动面临的严峻形势和工会内部的严重问题,以及学界谈论的振兴工会的出路和策略,话题最后集中到公共部门工会上,认为这是认识当代工人运动及工会振兴
From September to November 2013, I went to Canada to study at Law School of York University and would like to know about the history of Canada’s labor law and to collect information on labor history. The author of a dissident dissertation found at the University Department of Political Affairs met with Professor Stephan Rose or the director of the Global Labor Research Center . We talked three times in succession. Beginning with her essay, I talked about the grim situation facing contemporary labor movement and the serious problems within the trade unions, as well as the way and tactics discussed by the academic circles in rejuvenating trade unions.
