通过5年的定点定位试验观测,分析结果表明,砂田具有良好的蓄水保墒特性,在一般年有效降水不低于200mm时,砂田能够基本满足抗旱作物生长需水的要求,新、中、老砂田含水量分别是土田的2.2倍、1.84倍和1.53倍;砂田可使土壤表层水分蒸发量不超过1.2mm/天,而对照土田则为5~10mm/天;砂田还具有提高地温的作用,通常高于土田6℃以上,并能使土壤结冻期比土田推迟约20天,解冻期提前约15天;砂田还可有效地防止风蚀和水蚀,具有保水保土保肥的作用。因此,砂田农作物产量是土田的1~3倍。
