王琼卫与他的父亲同为绘画大师颜文棵的弟子。1972年,王琼卫从上海戏剧学院舞台美术系毕业,被分配在上海淮剧团任舞台美术设计。他以新颖的设计理念与著名演员筱文艳等共同开创出了中国淮剧历史上最为辉煌的一个时代。1999年,王琼卫调至上海舞美艺术中心,相继参加设计了一系列国际国内大型展览以及活动。他思路敏捷,设计方案精彩,其影响波及海内外。2008年,王琼卫被上海电影艺术职业学院特邀聘为舞美设计教师。他指导下的学生创作舞台剧设计,以其画面新颖,多媒体手法多样,时空转换自然,而获得戏剧界的普遍赞赏。2016年,王琼卫被上海艺术家协会评为2015年度“德艺双馨”艺术家。王琼卫一生注重于写生绘画。写生的现场感、陌生感、新鲜感给他带来对艺术创作的激情和灵感。这种激情和灵感融入他的舞台美术创作中,如同一场场精神盛宴,使得广大观众能够与他一起来分享。
Wang Qiongwei and his father, the master of painting Yan Wen-kuang. In 1972, Wang Qiongwei graduated from the stage art department of Shanghai Theater Academy and was assigned to stage art design in Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe. His novel design concept and the famous actress Xiaowen Yan jointly created the history of Huaihua in China the most brilliant era. In 1999, Wang Qionghui transferred to the Shanghai Wu Mei Art Center, one after another participated in the design of a series of large-scale exhibitions and activities at home and abroad. His quick thinking, wonderful design, its impact spread at home and abroad. In 2008, Wang Qiongwei was invited by the Shanghai Film Art Vocational Institute as a design teacher. Under the guidance of his students, the design of stage plays was created, and his performance was widely appreciated by the theatrical circles for his novel pictures, diversified multimedia techniques and the natural transition from time to time. In 2016, Wang Qiongwei was awarded as “Artist of the Year 2015” by the Shanghai Artists Association. Wang Qiongwei’s life focuses on sketch painting. Sketching the scene, strangeness, freshness to bring him passion and inspiration for the creation of art. This passion and inspiration into his stage art creation, as a spiritual feast, so that the general audience to share with him.
