Overview The characteristics of paleontological communities near the upper and lower Tertiary boundaries are one of the most important research topics of paleontologists in all fields.The work in this field not only includes theoretical issues such as biological evolution and changes in sedimentary environment but also actual stratigraphic division and comparison Which is of great significance to the exploration and utilization of the South Yellow Sea and its surrounding areas.In this paper, only the sporopollen analysis is taken as an attempt to study this area in the South Yellow Sea and its surrounding areas.The tectonic positions of the South Yellow Sea and the Subei Basin consist of the Tancheng-Lujiang fault in the west, the Okinawa-Jeju fracture in the east, Belun adjacent to the Sulu uplift, the sea next to the Chiyili rock uplift, the South adjacent to the Tongyang uplift, the sea adjacent to Nansha uplift, with a total area of nearly one hundred thousand
