1990年代以来,中国的“实验水墨”运动涌现了一批优秀的艺术家,研究他们的创作,分析其文化意义,对于我们全面了解中国现代艺术的进程,观察中国画的现代转型,具有艺术史意义。而研究1990年代以来中国当代实验水墨的进程,如果不讨论张羽,是很难展开讨论的,在某种意义上,张羽是1990年代以来中国实验水墨群体中最为重要的核心人物。
Since the 1990s, a number of outstanding artists have emerged in China’s “Experimental Ink Painting” Movement, studying their creations and analyzing their cultural significance. They are of great significance for us to fully understand the progress of Chinese modern art, observe the modern transformation of Chinese painting, and have an artistic history significance. It is very difficult to discuss the process of contemporary experimental ink painting in China since 1990’s. If Zhang Yu is not discussed, Zhang Yu is the most important core figure of Chinese experimental ink group in the certain sense.
