高速钢刀具的氧氮化处理,是一种较新的化学热处理方法。它是在等于或稍低于高速钢回火温度下,使成品高速钢刀具表面在氨和水的混合气氛的作用下,同时渗入氧和氮的一种工艺过程,是蒸汽氧化和表面渗氮工艺的复合。经过氧氮化处理过的高速钢刀具表面呈深兰色,无脆性,有较高的硬度(HV_5900以上),同时有较高的抗粘附性和耐腐蚀性,从而提高了刀具的寿命和防锈能力。实验证明,经氧氮化处理过的高速钢刀具大约提高寿命1~1.5倍以上,个别类型的刀具可提高几倍~十几倍。这种处理的另一些优点是操作简便,工作环境清洁,不会产生废气和有害气体。
