(四)李四光不仅在国内地质界享有很高的声望,而且已是一位世界第一流的科学家。当时中国地质学会成立了一个“丁文江先生纪念基金委员会”。1940年,李四光担任上届(第十六届)中国地质学会理事长的时候,兼任这个委员会的主席,并主持了第一届授奖典礼。1941年7月18日,该委员会一致赞成第二届奖金授予李四光,并在这次年会及中国地质学会二十周年纪念会开幕会上举行了授奖典礼。该委员会主席杨钟
(D) Li Siguang not only enjoys a high reputation in the domestic geological community, but also is a world-class scientists. At that time, the Geological Society of China established a “Mr. Ding Wenjiang Memorial Fund Committee.” In 1940, when Li Siguang assumed the chairmanship of the last (16th) China Geological Society, he served as chairman of this committee and presided over the first award ceremony.
