2013年11月,中国海南航空公司的737-300“兰”号彩绘客机(B-2579)正式退役,该架飞机退役并没有像其他退役客机一样改装货机或是停在飞机坟场等待拆解,而是进入上海民航职业技术学院,成为飞机维修专业的教学飞机,为中国民航教育事业继续发挥作用。由于上海民航职业技术学院地处上海市中心,如何将机长33.4米、高度11.15米、翼展28.28米的飞机完整地从虹桥机场运到学院不是一件容易的事,必须把飞机在机场分解,然后用大型车辆运到学院后再进行组装复原。编辑:石坚
