我们常会遇到这样的情况,在报纸杂志的某个角落看到自己的名字,或者在公共场合听到别人谈论自己。当你满头雾水不知所云的时候,才发现原来大家所指的是另外一个人,只不过那个人和你有同样的名字。这样的尴尬似乎每个人都有可能遇到,即使你的姓氏古怪名字脱俗也很难避免。我把我的名字输入到www.google.com的搜索栏里,结果找到上千个网页,当然,其中没有一条是与我有关的,最让我吃惊的是居然有一位著名男模与我同名。
We often encounter situations where we see our names in some corner of a newspaper or magazine, or we hear others talk about ourselves in public. When you get confused, you realize that everyone was referring to another person, except that person has the same name as you. Such embarrassment seems like everyone may encounter, even if your surname quaint name is also very difficult to avoid. I typed my name into the search field on www.google.com and found thousands of pages. Of course, none of them related to me. What surprised me most was that there was actually a famous male model with the same name as me.
