1815年6月18日的滑铁卢战役改变了法国和欧洲历史的发展方向,司汤达和雨果这两位与拿破仑时代结下不解之缘并与时代风云息息相关的小说大师,分别在《巴马修道院》和《悲惨世界》这两部文学巨著中,挥洒万言,再现当年的滑铁卢战役,以表明他们对历史的回顾与反思。然而,两大师的创作风格不同,小说的写作重心不同,因此两个“滑铁卢”的艺术手法也迥然不同。
