Jupiter that huge gravity makes it have the power to maintain 63 satellites. Some of these satellites are larger than even average, but scientists still call them satellites because they revolve around Jupiter rather than the sun. If you look at Jupiter with binoculars on a clear night, you can clearly see the largest four satellites. Their names are respectively Europa, Europa, Europa and Europa. Compared to the size of the planet, Jupiter's 12 other satellites are more like asteroids. They are shaped like rocks, small in size and have sore marks all over the craters on the surface. The largest of these small satellites, Europa, has a diameter of only 270 kilometers measured from the far end. The youngest member of this extended family is Io, only 16 km wide.
