重金属污染的危害正日益受到人们的重视,2009年中国食品安全高层论坛报告上的数据显示,我国16的耕地受到重金属污染,重金属污染土壤面积至少有2000万hm2;国土资源部还曾公开表示,我国每年有1200万t粮食遭到重金属污染,直接经济损失超过200亿元,有专家认为过量施用化肥、工业排放和污水灌溉是重金属污染的主要来源。2011年国家发布了《重金属污染综合防治“十二五”规划》,2012年在科技部、环保部部门等支持指导下成立了国家重金属污染防治工程技术中心,农业部又专门组建了农产品产地土壤重金属污染防治专家组足见国家对重金属污染防治的重视。
