近年来,在海外兴起一种叫“大步疾走”的健身方式,即每天坚持大步伐快走30~40分钟。 目前,在台湾、香港、新加坡、韩国的一些中小学校里,老师们号召学生在上学的往返途中做“大步疾走”的锻炼。有关保健专家认为,少年儿童“大步疾走”有助锻炼肺活量和肌肉的耐力,可以避免因参与过于激烈的体育活动而对身体发育造成的不良影响;同时又可以促进大脑的休息,利于提高学生的学习效率。
