银杏,其名出自《本草纲目》。因中果皮为白色,故又名白果;因叶形状像鸭掌,又俗称“鸭脚”;因其结实周期过长,故又称之为“公孙树”。银杏是我国特有的经济树种。而今我国年产白果5000余吨,约占全世界总产量的90%。射阳县数年前就开发银杏,现有银杏园林约三千亩,其中黄光锁和新洋乡各有一个千亩成片银杏园。目前长势旺盛,即将挂果。银杏树在我国栽培历史悠久,早在汉末三国时,江南已有种植,宋朝时,黄河流域已普遍栽培。银杏是果树中首屈一指的“寿星”,眼下结果累累的千年古树在我国尚存1300多抹。陕西省周至县楼观台,有株古老银杏树,树龄已达2000年左右,长安
