At the initiative of the Chinese Society of Physics, the first “Seminar on Physics History Seminar” co-sponsored by the Physics Society of Hunan and Guangxi Provinces was held in Nanning, Guangxi from July 28 to August 5, 1984. A total of 80 people attended the seminar. In addition to the participation of representatives from the physics circles of Hunan and Guangxi provinces, there are also some other physics colleagues from Yunnan, Guizhou and Jiangxi provinces to participate in the discussion. Director of Guangxi Science and Technology Commission, chairman of Guangxi Institute of Physics, Comrade Hou De Peng, president of Guangxi University, made speeches in his speech on the current science and technology, educational situation and the significance of researching the history of physics. Director of Hunan Institute of Physics, State University of Defense Technology Professor Sun Su led the Hunan Institute of Physics class to participate in the seminar and take the lead
