于1987～1992年对栟柑、伏令夏橙、哈姆林等12个柑桔区域化良种在贵州省5个不同生态区进行了大面积推广栽培,对各品种的生物学特性和适应性及其栽培管理措施作了观察研究,总结了一套适合贵州的柑桔大面积丰产栽培技术措施及管理方法:即区域化布置品种,规范化建园,薄肥适时勤施,扩穴深翻压绿,合理调控树势,综合防治病虫;在大面积推广中采取培训先行,以点带面,示范园承包等管理方法。
