In 1996, under the support of the relevant departments of China Association for Science and Technology, China Association for Management Science and Research conducted a nationwide sampling survey of the Chinese public’s perception of unknown issues and other related issues for the first time. The survey aims to understand the Chinese public’s perceptions and attitudes regarding the unknown phenomena and other issues and provide decision-making basis for higher-level departments in formulating policies on science popularization and strengthening the building of spiritual civilization.
