关于西安事变相关人物的研究,史学界主要集中研究的是毛泽东、周恩来、张学良、杨虎城、蒋介石、宋美龄等等,叶剑英在这个重大的历史事件中,充当了重要的历史角色,发挥了重大的历史作用。但各种关于“西安事变”的图书资料中却很少提到叶剑英,2002年第5期《炎黄春秋》杂志发表了《人民日报》社纪希晨的一篇文章,最终打破这种寂静,一时间,学术界就此争议纷纷,在西安事变前,叶剑英是否已经知道消息?
