“后土”人格化是土地崇拜到土地神信仰的必经阶段。《清华大学藏战国竹简(三)·赤鹄之集汤之屋》中,“后土”受帝命作祟致使夏后患病,表现为有具体行为的人格神。这是“后土”人格化早期形态的珍贵材料。
