2003北京国际美术双年展,是中国拟按国际相关惯例在北京采用的一种美术展会形式,被定位为与全国美展共生共补的又一大型重要展事。北京国际美术双年展的动议者是中国美术家协会。首届主办单位是中国文联、北京市人民政府、中国美术家协会。北京国际美术双年展与各国双年展为松散联接的关系,将在寻求中国特色与东方文化立场的前提下,致力于促进全球更大范围的艺术交流于古老文明的北京实现。作为一种侧重反映中青年艺术家较富学术探索性的跨国展览制度,将保持运作的独立性,为集体策划,追求更大的社会文化效应。
2003 Beijing International Art Biennale is a form of art exhibition to be adopted by Beijing in Beijing in accordance with international practice. It is positioned as another major and important exhibition co-produced with the National Art Exhibition. The movers of the Beijing International Fine Art Biennale are the Chinese Artists Association. The first organizer is China Federation of Literature, Beijing Municipal People’s Government, Chinese Artists Association. The Beijing International Biennale of Biennial is a loosely linked relationship with other countries. Under the premise of seeking Chinese characteristics and oriental cultural position, Beijing International Biennial will devote itself to promoting a wider global exchange of art in the realization of the ancient civilization in Beijing. As a cross-border exhibition system that focuses on reflecting the rich academic explorations of young and middle-aged artists, it will maintain the independence of its operations and make collective planning for the pursuit of greater social and cultural effects.
