对锥形板钅敦粗锭料这一新工艺的合理性进行了论证。通过与平板钅敦粗工艺的比较，指出了锥形板钅敦粗有利于内部缺陷的压合，其力学原理在于增大了静水压力，提高了材料的塑性。
