在不同的语言文化背景下,颜色词被赋予了不同的意义。英汉两种语言中颜色词丰富多彩,具有强烈的感情色彩和一定的修辞功能,随着人类语言的发展,大部分颜色词的使用范围被约定俗成。由于颜色词的多义现象,同一词汇的内涵和感情色彩也存在差异,英汉颜色词的对应只能体现意义的部分等值,不能概括意义的全部。对比英汉颜色词,了解其因社会历史文化背景等不同引起的词汇内涵异同和由此出现的语用异同,来提高语言使用能力变得尤为重要。
In different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, color words are given different meanings. The color words in both English and Chinese are rich and colorful, with a strong emotional color and certain rhetorical functions. With the development of human languages, most of the color terms are conventionally used. Due to the polysemy of color words, the connotation and emotional color of the same words are also different. The correspondence between English and Chinese color words can only reflect part of the meanings of meaning, and can not be used to summarize the whole meaning. Comparing English-Chinese color words and understanding their similarities and differences in vocabulary connotations caused by different social, historical and cultural backgrounds, and the resulting similarities and differences in pragmatics, it is particularly important to improve language proficiency.
