This article expounds the concept of professional core competence and its role in higher vocational education. Through the analysis of the difficulty of student management, the function of vocational core competence for quality education is clarified. Through the analysis of students, employers and higher vocational colleges, it further highlights the importance of vocational core competence in quality education.
