佛昂·威廉斯(Vaughan Williams,1872—1958),英国现代作曲家、指挥家、音乐活动家。他被誉为是20世纪振兴英国音乐的领袖人物。威廉斯自幼学习提琴、钢琴,六岁即开始作曲,直到85岁完成《第九交响乐》,一生从未停笔。他的作品包括:歌剧《牲口贩》、《约翰先生谈恋爱》、《毒吻》等。交响乐的《大海》、《伦敦》、《南极》、《田园》等。协奏曲《云雀飞翔》等。芭蕾舞剧《柯尔老王》、《圣诞之夜》、《婚礼的日子》等。犬量的合唱曲、管弦乐曲、声乐套曲、独唱曲、室内乐、钢琴曲、风琴曲、电影音乐等。至于30岁以前的作品,因自己不满意全部都没有出版。
Vaughan Williams (1872-1958), British modern composer, conductor, music activist. He is reputed to be the leader of revitalizing British music in the 20th century. Williams studied violin and piano since he was young, began to compose music when he was six, and did not stop writing “Ninth Symphony” till the age of 85. His works include: Opera “Animal Trafficking”, “Mr. John Fall in Love”, “Venomous Kiss” and so on. Symphony of the “sea”, “London”, “Antarctic”, “pastoral” and so on. Concerto “Skylark flying” and so on. Ballet “Kohl old”, “Christmas night”, “wedding day” and so on. Dogs of the chorus, orchestral music, vocals suite, solo, chamber music, piano, organ, movie music. As for the works before the age of 30, because they are not satisfied with all did not publish.
