In the history of China’s modern intelligence agents, Yuan Shu is definitely regarded as an important figure. The twists and turns of his intelligence experience are often difficult to understand by the outside world so that there has been very little objective and comprehensive introduction to his texts for a long time. He was born in Hunchun in Hubei in 1911 and studied in Japan in 1929. After returning to China, Yuan Shu served as a member of the Standing Committee of China’s Left-wing Cultural Federation and founded “Arts News”.
