Pollucite is a cesium aluminosilicate containing 20-40% cesium oxide. The U.S. Bureau of Mines has developed a method of sorting out the pollucite ore associated with mica, feldspar and other gangue minerals. Froth flotation was conducted using sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid, as well as a cationic collector, to separate the pollucite from the three typical ores.
