From the history of combustion engineering point of view, fluidized bed combustion is still a young craft. The advent of new methods of fuel utilization, far from unusual events. Previous milestones in the development of solid fuels, that is, pulverized coal boilers were introduced in the 1920s, but it has reached the limit due to size and efficiency reasons. Over the past two decades, it has been found that it is possible to increase electricity production through the use of fossil fuels, but it is harmful to our environment. Sulfur in the fuel produces sulfur dioxide during combustion, while high temperatures in the flame promote the formation of nitric oxide - a pollutant that causes acid rain, which in turn can destroy forests in many parts of the world. These problems have caused us to face a new situation in the field of combustion engineering: size and efficiency are no longer the only design goals, and the importance of pollution reduction can never be ignored.
