沙王庄汉代墓葬位于聊城市高唐县固河镇沙王庄西北600米,南距固河镇约6公里,西南距高唐县约18公里(图一)。这里地处鲁西北大平原,地势平坦,低洼多水。周围分布较为密集的汉代墓葬,固河汉代墓群即位于固河村西半部。据地方干部渊查勘探,墓葬分布在南北3公里、东两1.5公里的范围内,传说有72塚,原地面保存7座大型封土墓。历年来固河村附近发现大量汉代墓葬,2003年在固河村清理了一批墓葬,
