由中华医学会和中华医学会泌尿外科学分会主办的第六届全国泌尿外科学术会议/第三届全球华人泌尿外科学术会议/The 5th Asian Congress on Urology于2000年8月26～30日在北京国际会议中心召开。来自45个国家和地区的629名外宾和1200余名国内代表出席了会议。全国人大常委会副委员长、中华医学会名誉会长吴阶平院士参加开幕式并讲话,他在讲话中肯定了我国泌尿外科近年来有了长足发展,向海外华人对祖国医学事业作出的贡献表
The 6th National Urological Conference / The 3rd Asian Chinese Urology Conference hosted by Chinese Medical Association and Chinese Medical Association Urology Branch / The 5th Asian Congress on Urology was held on August 26-30, 2000 in Beijing International Convention Center held. 629 foreign guests and over 1,200 domestic representatives from 45 countries and regions attended the meeting. Dr. Wu Jieping, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and honorary president of the Chinese Medical Association attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. In his speech, he affirmed that urology in our country has made great strides in recent years and made contributions to overseas Chinese in the medical cause of the motherland
