On September 21, 2000, three professors including Professor Sai Yifu from the Slavic Institute of the Japanese Language School at Osaka University in Japan came to our institute for an academic visit. Wells did two academic reports in Russian and Japanese respectively. Experts from Harbin Institute of Science and Technology and Slavism in Harbin attended the seminar and conducted serious discussions with Japanese scholars on relevant issues.
