The purpose of the study was to identify lead and cadmium exposure in Manila and compare them with those in Kuala Lumpur and Tainan. Twenty-four adult working women were enrolled in a 24-hour food sample and a venous blood sample. The concentrations (or contents) of lead and cadmium were determined by wet ashing without flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The food intake by the Food Service is calculated using the food number of the Philippine Food Ingredient List (1990, 1997). Results table
