社会的发展不断向以人类精神世界和社会现象为研究对象的哲学社会科学提出新的课题和要求。在世界经济一体化、政治格局多极化、文化多元化及中国特色的社会主义道路需要全方位探索的今天，哲学社会科学面对的问题越来越具有复杂化和综合化的特征，打破单一学科的科学研究模式，实行跨学科研究已经成为哲学社会科学研究回应时代需要的必然。作为以哲学社会科学为主的综合性大学，中国人民大学在跨学科研究方面作了一些尝试和探索。
The development of society constantly puts forward new topics and requirements for the philosophy and social sciences that take the human world and social phenomena as research objects. Today the world’s economic integration, multi-polarization of the political pattern, cultural diversification and the socialist road with Chinese characteristics need to be explored in all directions. The problems facing the philosophy and social sciences are more and more complicated and integrated, breaking the single Disciplinary scientific research model, the implementation of interdisciplinary research has become the philosophical and social science research response to the needs of the inevitable. As a comprehensive university mainly composed of philosophy and social sciences, Renmin University of China made some attempts and exploration in interdisciplinary research.
