罗香林(1906-1978),字元一,号乙堂,广东省梅州市兴宁宁新镇水楼村下石陂窝人。他是我国著名的历史学家、民族学家和客家学研究的奠基人,历任中山大学、香港大学、珠海书院教授,获香港大学终身名誉教授衔。罗香林毕生献身学术,尽瘁教育,弘扬中华文化,享誉中外文史学界。由于其在客家研究方面的突出贡献,罗香林被学术界誉为客家总问题专家,为梅州“八大先贤”之一。与客家研究的不解之缘家学渊源罗香林是客家研究的集大成
Luo Xianglin (1906-1978), a character, No. B Church, Meixing, Meizhou City, Ning Ning Xin Shui Village, Shixiao Wo people. He is the famous historian, ethnologist and founder of Hakka Studies in China. He has successively served as professors of Sun Yat-sen University, Hong Kong University and Zhuhai Academy of Classical Studies, and has been awarded the honorary professor of life of Hong Kong University. Luo Xianglin devoted himself to academic life, doing his best to educate and promote Chinese culture, renowned Chinese and foreign literary history. Due to his outstanding contribution to the study of Hakka, Luo Xianglin was hailed as one of the experts in the field of Hakka in the academic field and one of the “Eight Sages” in Meizhou.
