近十五年来,挖掘机和起重机在构造上进行了很大的改变,特別是支承旋轉装置的結构有了很大的改进。第一台双排滾珠支承旋轉装置的挖掘机是約于1948年在西德制成。稍后英国制成了带錐形滾子的支承旋轉装置,法国制成了圓柱形滾子的支承旋轉装置。以后美国和西德又制成了单排滾珠滾盘。就制造来說,最簡单的要算圆柱形滾子結构。采用錐形滾子理論上是比較正确的,因为它清除了旋轉时上、下軌道的滑移。但实际經驗表明,采用圆柱形滾子所引起的滑移值是在許可范围內。
In the past fifteen years, the excavators and cranes have undergone great changes in their construction, and in particular, the structure of the supporting rotating devices has been greatly improved. The first double row ball bearing rotary excavator was made in West Germany in about 1948. Later, the United Kingdom made a support rotation device with a tapered roller and France made a support roller device for a cylindrical roller. Later, the United States and West Germany made a single row of ball rolling plates. In terms of manufacturing, the simplest is the cylindrical roller structure. The use of tapered rollers is theoretically more correct because it removes the slippage of the upper and lower tracks during rotation. However, actual experience shows that the slip value caused by the use of a cylindrical roller is within the allowable range.
