油茶进入盛果期后,就伴随着大小年的开始。据观察,每个林分、单株以及各枝条间都会有大小年出现。我们一般所指的大小年多以林分而言,然而林分是由单株组成的;单株大小年的形成及其与林分大小年的关系,如何提高林分的经济效益等问题,是油茶工作者比较关心而又见解不一的。对此,我们在常山县小茶坪和衢州市林场对三片林地1008株油茶进行了6年、8年、11年的分单株观察,现将观察结果整理如下。
